Content:

Participants in this workshop will find answers to these questions; and then have the opportunity to evaluate a variety of cost control strategies for use in their own district.

 

Topics:

¨       What should your food costs be?

¨       How do you determine the ideal staffing pattern for your food service operation?

¨       What is the relationship between the cost of food and labor costs?

¨       How does your NSLP meal pattern affect your cost of food and labor without sacrificing the best nutrition for the students?

¨       What are the markers of a financially well-run program?

¨       Leave with an excel spreadsheet that evaluates your program using several key financial indicators.

 

 

Who should attend:

This class is designed for new Food Service Directors, Field Supervisors (mid-level managers) and administrators responsible for food services who are seeking validated ways to control and monitor operational costs in today’s current economic conditions.
