Types and Benefits of Membership
Active/Individual Membership
- The Active/Individual membership is offered to individuals employed to perform school business functions by any of the following located in the State of Arizona: Public School District, Charter School, Private School, Parachial School, College or University, State, County or Government Agency.
- An individual serving as a full-time faculty member of a college or university teaching in the areas of school business or educational administration.
- A school entity in which case the entity must designate one business official to represent this entity.
- Annual cost of $120.

- Bi-Monthly Meetings (5 per year) at no charge to member
- Subscription to the EDGE Newsletter issued 5 times per year
- Unlimited free job listings
- Subscription to legislative e-mail updates
- Legislative and policy advocacy
- Committee involvement. AASBO members are encouraged to participate in all levels of governanace in the association which provides them with leadership opportunities as well as a forum to discuss issues in school business management
- Networking. AASBO serves as a forum for sharing your experiences, solutions and information among districts across the state.
- Voting privilages
Business Associate Membership
- Individuals commercially interested in the field of school business management,including exhibitors, business firms, advertisers, professional engineers, architects, certified public accountants or other business related professions, are eligible for Business Associate membership. A firm may purchase a Business Associate Membership with the company designating one employee to represent the firm.
- Will receive the same benefits the Active/Individual membership.
- Non-voting membership. Voting only for their vendor representative to serve on the AASBO Board of Directors.
- Annual cost of $120.
Benefits:
- Receives the same benefits as the Active/Individual membership.
Life Membership
- The individual has held an Active/Individual membership in AASBO for a minimum of fifteen (15) years.
- The individual meets the criteria for Active membership at the time of application.
- The individual is not employed in any capacity making the individual eligible for membership in AASBO as either a voting or non-voting member.
- No annual cost associated with membership.
Benefits:
- Life Members receive the same benefits as Active/Individual Members. Past Presidents of AASBO receive an honorary Life membership.
Emeritus Member (Retiree)
- The individual held an Active/Individual membership in AASBO at the time of retirement from the field of school business administration.
- The individual is not employed in any capacity making the individual eligble for membership in AASBO as either a voting or non-voting member.
- Annual cost of $60.
Benefits:
- Receives the same benefits as the Active/Individual membership.
